Why isn't anyone talking about this critical fallout from importing so much stuff from China?

Before everything was made in china, people actually took care of their "stuff", i.e. TVs, electric vacuums, electric shavers, radios, stereos, even computers. They repaired them when they broke, they kept the dust off them, and almost cherished these things.
Now, people throw them away every two or three years and/or have six of them laying around their house.

Just because something is cheaper these days, doesn't mean it uses less natural resources. A 2000 dollar computer made in America has the exact same amount of carbon footprint as a 400 dollar computer made in china, even MORE because it's shipped over here on a freighter, which uses filthy diesel oil.
Why aren't the environmentalists screaming for a stop to imports from china, simply to stop the huge waste?
Americans go through 100 TVs in a lifetime these days, maybe even more. 40 years ago, sure, TVs costed a lot more, but people kept them for 30 years and didn't have one in every single room. People don't need a TV in their refrigerator door or their cars for christ's sake.

yes your completely right why isn't anyone ,nobody cares because now everyone holidays in China they don't care about there stuff ,they will pretty much sell there children (my mother went to china and a man was running around scream you want here 100 if you want here and the poor thing was crying )all they do want is money because money buys everything but love and family (ill take that back they actully sell there family ) they let china get to the worst of it ,now its just a place of broken buildings and family with either a good home and now family and lots of money OR a family with love and no money ,there just greedy pigs .....
