How should married couples operate at home with finances and kids?

Alisia

My husband pays the mortage and Direct TV bill. Im responsible for electric, water, food and the internet not to mention we have 3 boys so food is costly. I make less than him and at times im behind with disconnection notices. We never discuss bills (well we use to, but it turned into a daily conversation and nothing else) and get paid bi-weekly on the same dates. We both have have car notes/ insurance to deal with outside of household bills and we handle those separately as well. What drives me crazy is that he has a butt load of credit cards and brings home things that are not needed at the time when Im behind on my part. If he handles my part is like a big deal. We dont have a joint account, mainly because I owe student loans and he's almost top shape with credit. He also locks his credit cards and checks in a safety box ( advise from his mother since my credit sucks) I end up getting into anyways with scissors. Sad, but true! Anyways being married two years, but together a total of 8yrs, this sucks and I almost want out, What the heck is the method of marraige here?!!! Another thing is with the boys, he will cook and make sure they have showers and etc, but when they fight or need him for anything he tunes them out for espn on the daily. He lives on our couch basically and crawls into bed when he's ready. I need help I dont know if Im being stupid or If I need to chill and ride the wave. We are both 28 and Im almost at the point I have one life to live and this is not it :/ more to this, but Im not trying to write a book.

Answer
I think whatever method you chose, is up to the two of you and should be fair. If you are going to keep separate accounts and designate bills, perhaps it should be apportioned to income and reviewed periodically just to be sure that it's "fair".

What are the good restaurants at Epcot and Hollywood Studios in Disney?

Yvonne Ces

Is the restaurant where you sit in car seats any good? Has anyone ever eaten there?

Answer
There are a few restaurants in each park that are very good places to eat. Here are a few of our favorites:

Disney Studios:

Sci-Fi Drive in - eat in cars while watching old sci-fi movie footage. Food was great, price not outrageous (as compared to other Disney restaurants), and the atmosphere was really cool. We ate here when we visited in March, and my kids loved it.

50's Prime Time Cafe - Eat in a kitchen with "Mom" or "Auntie" as your server. Better eat all your veggies and keep your elbows off the table, or you will hear about it. Food was good, pretty much what you would expect from a 50's type restaurant.

Hollywood Brown Derby - Signature dining for Disney. More of an upscale place to eat. Good food, but more of a fancy meal than a fun one, in my opinion.

Mama Melore's Restorante Italiano - Outstanding italian food, Great atmosphere.

Epcot:
Le Celier - Canada - Good steakhouse. The food was excellent and the price was not as bad as I expected, for a restaurant on Disney property.

Nine Dragons restaurant - China- some of the best Chinese food that I have ever had. Nice selection, decent prices.

La Cantina De San Angel - Mexico - Excellent for Mexican cuisine, and I am not a big fan of the spicy food. You sit along a waterway and eat with an exploding volcano in the background. One of our top 5 in all of Disney.

Biergarten restaurant - Germany - I love German food, and this buffet was worth every penny.

The only restaurant I do not recommend in Epcot is the Electric Umbrella or the American Pavillion in the U.S.A. These were not so good when we tried them, food was dry an pretty tasteless, not worth the money.

Those are our favorites for the places you asked about, but there are a whole bunch more. I would suggest checking out the disboards. The disboards is a message boards website all about going to Disney. You can get restaurant reviews and suggestions, resort reviews, tips for avoiding crowds, and more info than you can possibly imagine. I would also check out the Disney website and use their dining finder. Tons of info there as well.

Hope this helps, have a great trip!

does this car on craigslist sound like a scam?

marshall27

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/1965270326.html

here the message they sent to me--
"The car it's still available, has 82,947 miles, manual transmission. It's in perfect condition, no engine/electric problems (4 Cylinder 1.8 Liter Turbo), no accidents/liens/loans. Exterior no scratches, never been repainted, interior no rips/tears/stains, never smoked inside. I have all the car's manuals, 2 spare of keys, title, documents. I'm selling the car because my child of only 19 died 4 months ago in a car accident, a drunk driver hit him and his fiancee. He was with his fiance's car coming to our home at his little brother birthday of 10 years old. This VW Golf was his car and it brings me bad memories and that's the reason I want to sell it. The last price is $2,900.
Me and my husband travel a lot with our business and we want to make this deal through eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection Program. I just need your full name, full shipping address, home/cell # so I can open a case (with no further obligation or fees). eBay will contact you with all the Transaction/shipping details you will need. We will take care of the shipping, so don't worry.
We hope to hear soon from you."
i have a strong feeling this is a scam what do you think?

Answer
Are you kidding me ?

Can you read ?

eBay DOES NOT HAVE a Vehicle Purchase Protection Program

OFFERS TO SHIP CARS ARE 100% FRAUDULENT

You can sidestep would-be scammers by following these common-sense rules:

DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts on craigslist.
NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.
FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON, and BANKS WILL CASH THEM AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the fake is discovered weeks later.
CRAIGSLIST IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer "buyer protection" or "seller certification"
NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.)
AVOID DEALS INVOLVING SHIPPING OR ESCROW SERVICES and know that ONLY A SCAMMER WILL "GUARANTEE" YOUR TRANSACTION.

Is this a car buying scam?

Mankster

Hello and good morning! Could you please help me determine if this is a fraud?

i saw this ad on craigslist:

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ctd/2158686928.html

contacted the seller, and here is our email correspondence:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

them:

Hi,
The SUV is in perfect condition, no electric problems, no
accidents/liens/loans. No scratches, never been repainted. I have all the
SUV manuals, title, documents. I'm selling this SUV because my child of only
19 died 4 months ago in a car accident,a drunk driver hit him and his fiancee. He was with his fiance's SUV coming to our home at his little brother birthday of 10 years old. The SUV belonged to my son and it brings me bad memories and that's the reason I want to sell it. The last price is $3,900. Me and my husband travel a lot with our business and we want to make this deal through eBay's Buyer Protection Program.I just need your full name, full shipping address, home/cell # so I can open a case.(with no further obligation or fees).eBay will contact you with all the Transaction/shipping details you will need.We will take care of the shippingso don't worry. We hope to hear soon from you.
Thank you for your interest!

me:

thanks for the reply,I wouldnt buy a car without first seeing it and test driving it, maybe eventaking it to my mechanic for a checkup, all reasonable requests, right? We live in the valley. When would it be possible for us to come take a look? no look, no deal.
thanks.

them:

Hi,The car is located in Atlanta GA at DAS ( Dependable Auto Shippers ) headquarters, in the container, sealed and ready for shipping. You will have 10 days so you can inspect the car. Once you have inspected the car and decided to keep it, you will confirm your decision to eBay and only then they will re-route the money in to my account, but if by any reason, you won't be satisfied with the car you can return it back for a full refund of your money. I will take care of the shipping, don't worry. You will receive the car with all the necessary papers (clear title, bill of sale, user` manual, insurance etc). Just get back with your full name and full shipping address and I will get everything started as soon as possible, then eBay will contact you with further instructions.
Hope to hear soon from you.
Thanks a lot!

me:
Sounds like a good deal. Can I have the vin number for a quick background check?

them:
VIN: JNRAS08W75X204607

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

they gave me the vin number, but this whole ebay thing and free shipping of the car makes me suspicious...

that do you guys think? thanks in advanced!

Answer
Well, I can give you the VIN and pics of my F150. As much as you would want to buy it, it's not for freaking sale and not for 10% of what it's worth, either!

Anyway, you, too...

How to recognize a vehicle scam attempt on CL:
# Shipping a vehicle to you is suggested by seller
# eBay Motors or another intermediary is specified by seller
# Payment by Western Union or a money wire is requested
# Price is unusually low (fraction of blue book value)

If you see these tell-tale signs, flag ad as "prohibited" and avoid

Offers to ship a vehicle are virtually 100% fraudulent

eBay has no involvment in craigslist for sale ads, and any eBay or similar emails or web pages you receive are fake

Never use Western Union or wire transfer to pay for goods - only a scammer will ask for this, and any funds sent will be lost

Do not buy vehicles site-unseen, regardless of low price. The vehicle does not exist, and any money you send will be lost.

Stories about divorcees or departing servicemen needing to sell quickly at a low price are generally fraudulent

If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Does Tesla make high quality cars?

galactic12

If you have ever seen one or driven in one (too early?) or know any info about them, what would you say about the quality of Tesla? Is the price justified?

Answer
The Forgotten Art of Electric - Powered Automobiles
by Arthur Abrom

Electric powered automobiles were one of the earliest considerations
and this mode of propulsion enjoyed a brief but short reign. The
development of electricity as a workable source of power for mankind
has been studded with great controversy.

Thomas A. Edison was the first to start to market systems (i.e.
electric generators) of any commercial value. His research and
developmental skills were utilized to market a "direct current"
system of electricity. Ships were equipped with D.C. systems and
municipalities began lighting their streets with this revolutionary
D.C. electric system. (At that time) Edison was the sole source of
electricity!

While in the process of commercializing electricity, Thomas Edison
hired men who knew of the new scientific gift to the world and were
capable of new applications for electricity. One such man was a
foreigner named Nikola Tesla. This man, although not known to many
of us today, was without a doubt the greatest scientific mind that
has ever lived. His accomplishments dwarfed even Thomas Edison's!
Whereas Mr. Edison was a great experimenter, Mr. Tesla was a great
theoretician. Nikola Tesla became frustrated and very much annoyed
at the procedures Edison followed.

Tesla would rather calculate the possibility of something working
(i.e. mathematical investigation) than the hit and miss technique of
constant experimentation. So in the heat of an argument, he quit
one day and stormed out of Edison's laboratory in West Orange, New
Jersey.

Working on his own, Tesla conceived and built the first working

Page 2

alternating current generator. He, and he alone, is responsible for
all of the advantages we enjoy today because of A.C. electric power.

Angered by Edison, Tesla sold his new patents to George Westinghouse
for 15 million dollars in the very early 1900's. Tesla became
totally independent and proceeded to carry on his investigative
research in his laboratory on 5th Avenue in New York City.

George Westinghouse began to market this new system of electric
generators and was in competition with Edison. Westinghouse
prevailed because of the greater superiority of the A.C. generators
over the less efficient D.C. power supplies of Thomas Edison.
Today, A.C. power is the only source of electricity the world uses.
And, please remember, Nikola Tesla is the man who developed it.

Now specifically dealing with automobiles in the infant days of
their development, electric propulsion was considered and used. An
electric powered automobile possessed many advantages that the
noisy, cantankerous, smoke-belching gasoline cars could not offer.
First and foremost is the absolute silence one experiences when
riding in an electrically powered vehicle. There is not even a hint
of noise. One simply turns a key and steps on the accelerator - the
vehicle moves instantly! No cranking from the start, no crank to
turn (this was before electric starters), no pumping of the
accelerator, no spark control to advance and no throttle linkage to
pre-set before starting. One simply turned the ignition switch to
on!

Second, is a sense of power. If one wants to increase speed, you
simply depress the accelerator further - there is never any
hesitation. Releasing the accelerator causes the vehicle to slow
down immediately - you are always in complete control. It is not
difficult to understand why these vehicles were so very popular
around the turn of the century and until 1912 or so.

The big disadvantage to these cars was their range and need for re-
charging every single night. All of these electric vehicles used a
series of batteries and a D.C. motor to move itself about. The
batteries require recharging every night and the range of travel was
restricted to about 100 miles. Understand that this restriction was
not a serious one in the early part of this century. Doctors began
making house calls with electric cars (do you remember doctors
making house calls?) because he no longer needed to tend to the
horse at night time - just plug the car into an electric socket! No
feeding, no rub-down and no mess to clean up!

Many of the large department stores in metropolitan areas began
purchasing delivery trucks that were electrically powered. They
were silent and emitted no pollutants. And, maintenance was a
minimum on electrically powered vehicles. There were few mechanics
and garages in operation in the early 1900's. So city life and
travel appeared to be willing to embrace the electric automobile.
Remember, these masterfully built vehicles all ran on D.C. current.

Two things happened to dampen the popularity of the electric
automobile. One was the subconscious craving for speed that gripped
all auto enthusisasts of this era. Each manufacturer was eager to
show how far his car could travel (i.e. the transcontinental races)
and what was its top speed! Col. Vanderbilt constructed the first

Page 3

all concrete race track in Long Island and racing became the passion
for the well-to-do. Newspapers constantly record new records of
speed achieved by so-in-so. And, of course, the automobile
manufacturers were quick to capitalize on the advertising effect of
these new peaks of speed. Both of these events made the
electrically powered vehicles appear to only belong to the "little
old lady" down the street or the old retired gentleman who talked
about the "good old days".

Electric vehicles could not reach speeds of 45 or 50 m.p.h. for this
would have destroyed the batteries in moments. Bursts of speeds of
25 to 35 m.p.h. could be maintained for a moment or so. Normal
driving speed-depending upon traffic conditions, was 15 to 20 m.p.h.
by 1900 to 1910 standards, this was an acceptable speed limit to
obtain from your electric vehicle.

Please note that none of the manufacturers of electric cars ever
installed a D.C. generator. This would have put a small charge back
into the batteries as the car moved about and would have thereby
increased its operating range. This was considered by some to be
approaching perpetual motion - and that, of course, was utterly
impossible! Actually, D.C. generators would have worked and helped
the electric car cause.

As mentioned earlier, Mr. Westinghouse's A.C. current generating
equipment was being sold and installed about the country. The
earlier D.C. equipment was being retired and disregarded. As a side
note, Consolidated Edison Power Company of New York City still has
one of Thomas Edison's D.C. generators installed in its 14th St.
powerhouse - it still works! About this time, another giant
corporation was formed and entered the A.C. generating equipment
field - General Electric. This spelled the absolute end for
Edison's D.C. power supply systems as a commercial means of
generating and distributing electric power.

The electric automobile could not be adapted to accomodate and
utilize a polyphase motor (i.e. A.C. power). Since they used
batteries as a source of power, their extinction was sealed. No
battery can put out an A.C. signal. True, a converter could be
utilized (i.e. convert the D.C. signal from the battery to an A.C.
signal), but the size of the equipment at this time was too large to
fit in an automobile - even one with the generous dimensions of this
era.

So, somewhere around 1915 or so, the electric automobile became a
memory. True, United Parcel Service still utilizes several electric
trucks in New York City today but the bulk of their fleet of
vehicles utilizes gasoline or diesel fuel. For all intensive
purposes, the electrically powered automobile is dead - they are
considered dinosaurs of the past.

But, let us stop a moment and consider the advantages of utilizing
electric power as a means of propelling vehicles. Maintenance is
absolutely minimal for the only oil required is for the two bearings
in the motor and the necessary grease fittings. There is no oil to
change, no radiator to clean and fill, no transmission to foul up,
no fuel pump, no water pump, no carburetion problems, no muffler to
rot out or replace and no pollutants emitted into the atmosphere.
It appears as though it might be the answer we have been searching
for!
Page 4

Therefore, the two problems facing us become top speed and range of
driving - providing, of course, the A.C. and D.C. problems could be
worked out. With today's technology this does not seem to be
insurmountable. In fact, the entire problem has already been solved
- in the past, the distant past and the not so distant! Stop! Re-
read the last sentence again. Ponder it for a few moments before
going on.

Several times earlier in this article, I mentioned the man, Nikola
Tesla and stated that he was the greatest mind that ever lived. The
U.S. Patent Office has 1,200 patents registered in the name of
Nikola Tesla and it is estimated that he could have patented an
additional 1,000 or so from memory!

But, back to our electric automobiles - in 1931, under the financing
of Pierce-Arrow and George Westinghouse, a 1931 Pierce-Arrow was
selected to be tested at the factory grounds in Buffalo, N.Y. The
standard internal combustion engine was removed and an 80-H.P. 1800
r.p.m electric motor installed to the clutch and transmission. The
A.C. motor measured 40 inches long and 30 inches in diameter and the
power leads were left standing in the air - no external power
source!

At the appointed time, Nikola Tesla arrived from New York City and
inspected the Pierce-Arrow automobile. He then went to a local
radio store and purchased a handful of tubes (12), wires and
assorted resistors. A box measuring 24 inches long, 12 inches wide
and 6 inches high was assembled housing the circuit. The box was
placed on the front seat and had its wires connected to the air-
cooled, brushless motor. Two rods 1/4" in diameter stuck out of the
box about 3" in length.

Mr. Tesla got into the driver's seat, pushed the two rods in and
stated, "We now have power". He put the car into gear and it moved
forward! This vehicle, powered by an A.C. motor, was driven to
speeds of 90 m.p.h. and performed better than any internal
combustion engine of its day! One week was spent testing the
vehicle. Several newspapers in Buffalo reported this test. When
asked where the power came from, Tesla replied, "From the ethers all
around us". Several people suggested that Tesla was mad and somehow
in league with sinister forces of the universe. He became incensed,
removed his mysterious box from the vehicle and returned to his
laboratory in New York City. His secret died with him!

It is speculated that Nikola Tesla was able to somehow harness the
earth's magnetic field that encompasses our planet. And, he somehow
was able to draw tremendous amounts of power by cutting these lines
of force or causing them to be multiplied together. The exact
nature of his device remains a mystery but it did actually function
by powering the 80 h.p. A.C. motor in the Pierce-Arrow at speeds up
to 90 m.p.h. and no recharging was ever necessary!

In 1969, Joseph R. Zubris took his 1961 Mercury and pulled out the
Detroit internal combustion engine. He then installed an electric
motor as a source of power. His unique wiring system cuts the
energy drain at starting to 75% of normal and doubles the electrical
efficiency of the electric motor when it is operating! The U.S.
Patent Office issued him a patent No. 3,809,978. Although he

Page 5

approached many concerns for marketing, no one really seemed to be
interested. And, his unique system is still not on the market.

In the 1970's, an inventor used an Ev-Gray generator, which
intensified battery current, the voltage being induced to the field
coils by a simple programmer (sequencer). By allowing the motor to
charge separate batteries as the device ran, phenomenally tiny
currents were needed. The device was tested at the Crosby Research
Institute of Beverly Hills, Ca., a 10-horepower EMA motor ran for
over a week (9 days) on four standard automobile batteries.

The inventors estimated that a 50-horsepower electric motor could
traverse 300 miles at 50 m.p.h. before needing a re-charge. Dr.
Keith E. Kenyon, the inventor of Van Nuys, California discovered a
discrepancy in the normal and long accepted laws relating to
electric motor magnets. Dr. Kenyon demonstrated his invention for
many scientists and engineers in 1976 but their reaction was
astounding. Although admitting Dr. Kenyon's device worked, they saw
little or no practical application for it!

So the ultimate source for our electrically powered automobile would
be to have an electric motor that required no outside source of
power. Sounds impossible because it violates all scientific
thought! But it has been invented and H.R. Johnson has been issued
a patent No. 4,151,431 on April 24, 1979 on such a device!

This new design although originally suggested by Nikola Tesla in
1905, is a permanent magnet motor. Mr. Johnson has arranged a
series of permanent magnets on the rotor and a corresponding series
- with different spacing - on the stator. One simply has to move
the stator into position and rotation of the rotor begins
immediately.

Is an electric car worth it? ?

Daniel

Answer
If you have the necessary qualities of self reliance along with range and parking circumstances the EV can be a cheaper solution. The rest of us will have to pay more. See my analysis here (1) to discover that, in the US, the Nissan Leaf can be cheaper than a vehicle with a base price of around $11,000 to $16,000 that gets about 31 mpg, but it offers more than the Honda fit. Any concern about issues of pollution should consider the numbers found here (2) that conclude an electric vehicle will reduce overall pollution by at least 1/2 to 1/3 that of a petrochemical powered vehicle.

You can't presently take any car non stop from NYC to LA. There are limitations. Vehicles must be refueled. We can rely upon social infrastructure or be self reliant. The present infrastructure has been designed to supply petrochemical fueled vehicles. The electric car does not yet have a comparable infrastructure. 40% of new Nissan Leaf owners were planning on being so self reliant they would power the vehicles with solar panels.3

Prejudice, myths, misunderstandings and outright falsehoods aside, it is actual numbers that convince us that an electric car can be worth the purchase price and the operating cost for those people who fit the necessary requirements and that their use offers an overall pollution reduction to society.

Beyond these measures of "worth" in money and social benefit there is value in a quiet, trouble and virtually maintenance free vehicle. Aside from the "worth" issues this new breed of highway capable electric vehicles can be lots of fun to drive as they are unusually quick at startup. This may also have value but more for the car lover than the environmentalist or "conservative" driver.

I want a safe car for the winter time, what would you prefer?

Thistimear

Including 4 wheel drive and not being a truck or anything huge that wastes a ton of gas, or something super expensive- 18k price range.

Answer
There are no "safe cars" for any season of the year around the planet. Cars are not safe. They are motion, self propelled devices powered by internal, some say "infernal" combustion engines, albeit many new ones have electric motors, Yeah! Four wheel drive vehicles do not work if there is no friction. In fact, 98% of cars on the road ARE NOT four wheel drive and are driven year round rather successfully. The DRIVER , the knowledge, the training, the ability to think and judge the conditions is what is important and evolves to a safe driver. Plenty of 4X4 crash in winter as this has NOTHING to do with handling, braking or ability of the driver to use good judgment. Years ago when ABS came out insurance companies gave a discount as they though cars with ABS would crash less often. THEY WERE WRONG. When cars came out with Stability Control Programming, no discounts. Do these cars crash less? No they do not. As it happens, most people DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW THESE WORK and crash anyway. Why? Because people take RISKS. In Kentucky alone in 2012 over 53,000 crashes were attributed to distracted driving which means texting/cell phone. Three days ago in my area an 18 year old female died when while texting lost control of her car and crashed. About the same time a mother of four kids, barely 26 years old, drove in front of a large, YELLOW, school bus as if this BUS did not exit. She dies. Cause? Texting. If you wish to buy a car, buy a car you want. However, get driving lessons. Most people DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH as to cars. Going to a driving school should be MANDATORY. If you wish to see what I mean go to "wreckedexotics.com" to see people with money to buy expensive cars but with no brains to buy driving lessons that have crashed their cars. Some die. The subject of tires, energy, handling, kinetic energy, stopping distances, etc. IS NEVER DISCUSSED. And so, you, in your state of being an average uneducated and untrained driver, have the opinion that there are safe winter cars? And you shall buy one but you shall crash THINKING that you can speed and mishandle the car because you have four wheel drive. Last year or two an author rode a model T Ford for one year. In that year there were over 8 million crashes, 40,000 people died 5,000 of them teens. With millions of injuries over 250,000 ended up with handicap level injuries. This guy? Not even a parking ticket. No heat, no radio, very small almost bicycle size tires. And yet, not a scratch on the car. Why? He knew how to drive and when to drive and where to drive. No chances. My 2001 Audi is front wheel drive. Five speed manual. I drive year round. If there is snow, seldom in my area, over two inches, I wait for the roads to be cleared. The car does not have a scratch on it. Why? I have taken driving lessons, I never speed and I seldom take chances on the road. People have tried to crash into me. They speed, do not stop at stop signs, tailgate, etc. But I know what do to. How about you? Care to evolve into a safe driver? Get lessons. The car is not that important. YOU ARE.

Divorce in Texas question?

EJ

Long story cut very short here: I no longer have feelings/love for my spouse, we have a mortgage (in his name), no kids (thankfully) the only household bills in my name are phone & elec. I hold a Green Card & just want out of this 14 yr marriage & want to go back to my home country.
Here's my question: If I just up & leave with my stuff (I don't want anything from the house, he can have it all, inc the house/cars etc# will I have to come back to the US if/when he files for divorce? There is no spare cash for divorce lawyers, and spouse has no idea #yet) that I'm planning on leaving. Sounds harsh I know, but I really miss my 'home' family & want out. HELP please!
PS - There's no infidelity. He's a good man really, I've just fallen out of love & that's not fair on either of us.
Thanks for all answers so far, however, even though I've held a Green Card for 14 years doesn't automatically make me a US citizen. I'd still have to take the test, like everyone else..

I'm just wondering now that when I leave, isn't this considered "abandonment" and although Texas is a "no fault" (50/50) state, this would now make me at fault? No matter, really, as I don't want 50% of anything tangible. Any thoughts on this? I really can't afford to contact a lawyer & don't qualify for Legal Aid.. Thanks again people :)

Answer
No. He can just send you the papers and you sign them. You would have to find the equivalent of a notary public (someone who legally witnesses signatures) in your country. Be sure to switch the phone and electric to his name before you leave. You could also file for divorce in your home country and send him the papers, but divorce is typically easier and cheaper in the US than the UK.

Hello, I would like to have an idea to assess how much will be the best offer, living decently and at least to have savings in Edinburgh, Scotland. I plan to take my wife and 2 kids with me.
I read that tax will be around 20%.
Can someone please help me lay out as follows? On a monthly basis.
Groceries, school bus, transportation (Bus), Utilities(water, electricity, etc.) , Education ( elementary and pre school), Gasoline, health care, dining out like 2x a month and any other cost I am not aware of in Edinburgh?
I know it is quite detailed, sorry.

Answer
I lived in Edinburgh. But only as a university student so my take on things will be slightly biased.

VAT (value added tax): 20% on most goods and services -- https://www.gov.uk/vat-rates
Groceries: I spent about 30 a week on myself. I do not eat meat or dairy but do eat a lot of fruit and fresh vegetables. So that would be 120 a week for one person.
School Bus: If you are from the states the school bus system is not the same. Kids are expected to make their own way to school by walking, driving, or taking the public bus. The bus each way is 70p for children.
Bus: You can buy one way fair for an adult for 1.50. A day ticket for 3.50. A week's unlimited pass for 17 (13 for uni student and 9 for children). A month's unlimited for 51 (40, 39). A year's for 612 (468,324). more information at: http://lothianbuses.com/timetables-tickets-maps/fares-and-tickets
Utilities: I was a student so I did not have to pay for water or council tax. but in a three person flat the gas/electric was about 60 pounds a month total (and their was a set payment. you you obviously used less in the summer and more than that amount in the winter but it evened out in the end).
education: free school and university-> (for those living in scotland for 4+ years). private schooling available. Most public and all private schools wear a uniform.
Gasonline: expensive. 3.65 per litre. use an automatic and only drive when needed as filling your car will probably cost 60 quid. http://www.indianagasprices.com/Edinburgh/index.aspx
health care: free as long as you are a resident. but you can pay for it if you want. www.bupa.co.uk
eating out: I was a student so i obviously ate cheap. But I would say a main at an average restaurant (not a pub meal) would be 15-20 pounds and a fiver for a drink. So one main, one appetizer, one drink each for two people would be about 65 pounds.

worried about money...?

jelly bean

after my husband pays the rent, his car note, bills (electric and water) and puts aside gas money we normally have about 100 left for groceries and diapers..wic helps alot though as does food stamps

i would love to work but i have a 3yo stepson,4yo stepdaughter ,11mo and im 5mos pregnant with my next baby..we wouldnt be able to afford daycare..i tried working between my first and second pregnancy and the salary wasnt enough to even cover it...i tried watchin other kids but it got too chaotic and pu tmy pregnancy in danger..my husband says i need to start contributing money and iv ebeen trying (selling the kids old stuff n ebay) but he always wants more..im soo stressed and i need help

Answer
I disagree that your husband should get a second job. Its important that he be actively involved in your children's lives too - kids need quality time with their mom *and* dad. Having your husband work 2 jobs would take away from the time that he could spend with the children too.

One way to help would be to make sure that your budget is as efficient as possible. Most of us have expenses we could trim from our budget if necessary, without sacrificing too much quality of life. For example, it sounds like you have a tight grocery budget...are you getting the most out of the money you do have to spend on groceries? (There are a couple of online coupon clubs that could help...The Grocery Game www.thegrocerygame.com and Coupon Mom www.couponmom.com are the ones I am most familiar with.)

Gas prices are going up - is there any public transportation available in your area? My area doesn't have a ton of public transportation - just one so-so bus system. But you know what? I started using it to commute to work, and its not that bad. And I save $200 a month by doing that!

There are probably other unnecessary expenses you could trim if necessary...sure, its nice to have the Internet, but its not a basic need either. You get the idea...start looking for places to trim expenses out of your budget, to make the most out of the money you have already.

Is it possible for you to get paid to provide before/after school care for school aged children in your area? (I know you said that you tried watching other kids, but it was hard to tell if you were talking about other toddlers full time vs. school aged kids for an hour or two a day. Watching a few older kids for an hour or two while they waited to catch the school bus would certainly be less hectic than taking on several toddlers for a full day.) :)

Do you have any skills as far as something you could make to sell for profit? (Some people are better at craft or sewing type stuff than others...I don't have a talent for it, but someone who does could earn some extra money that way!)

And, of course, I'd gently caution you to start preparing for what you plan to do after this baby is born...it sounds like you guys have your hands full already, and if you think you're stressed now, imagine how much more stressed you'd be if another baby came along after this one. Yikes.

Good luck though...remember that at least it will get easier once the kids all get in school. Then you can try working part time while they are in school. (Or even if the older kids were in school, you might be able to afford a part time babysitter for the younger ones.) You and your husband just need to work together as a team to make it through these next few years...it may get rocky and stressful, but it can be done.

what baby stuff is the best? worst? (brands/styles of strollers, carriers, car seats, etc)?

Ember Halo

i'm trying to figure out what i would need to get my baby when it's born. i need things that are inexpensive, but good quality and easy to use.
in your opinion, what baby products are best?
are there any you found to be annoying?
thanks!!
oh, and breast pumps, too!
that one's really important to be quick & easy.

Answer
When it comes to breast pumps, i learned the hard way an electric Medela is the only way to go to make sure you're successful at breastfeeding. Those weenie little handpumps by Evenflo, and Avent and such, just don't do the job well enough to help up your milk supply in the early days. You can actually rent a hospital grade pump for a couple months to help establish your milk supply, that's what I would do. Or buy a pump in style, especially if you intend to do your baby the great benefit of breastfeeding for a long time, it will make things much easier.

Car seats - Britax is one of the best ways to go. Sounds expensive up front, but b/c the seats have high weight limits and tall harness slots, they last twice as long as other car seats so you save money in the long run. Another great contender is the brand new Evenflo Triumph Advance (NOT the Triumph, the Triumph Advance is different.) At $150 or under, its an awesome seat that will rear face to 35lbs and forward face to 50lbs, and has 17" tall top harness straps, should last most kids till they are 5 years old!! A sling is also a worthwhile investment, I love the Mei Tei carrier someone gave me, you can nurse in it, carry baby in the front, back, cradle style, or hip, and works with a newborn and still works with my 39lbs almost 3 year old. Ring slings are great too. Babies love being held close, and slings allow you to do that and still have your hands free. Much better than sticking baby in one of thoe car seat carriers all the time.

MY all time favorite baby product is one that can actually be rather hard to find, b/c they don't make them anymore, its called a 'soother'. Playskool (hasbro) made this vibrating clip. Takes batteries, you can clip it on the crib (clip to the spring thing underneath the mattress, not the railing), car seat, swing, playyard. My son loved it. I took it everywhere and clipped it all over the place. Check kids consignment places and eBay. I couldn't find a pic to include, but do periodic searches on eBay for "Playskool soother" and one pops up now and then. Its not the same as the vibrating thing that hooks to the crib rail - these don't do much except make noise. It looks like a giant white chip clip. :)

Which of these cars would you?

Krazyk78

Which of these cars would you buy and why?

a) toyota camry
b) toyota prius
c) subaru legacy
d) honda accord
e) honda civic.

thanks for your opinions.

Answer
if I have a family (i.e., kids, wife) i would choose the Camry or Accord depending on the price tag. I like both of these cars because they are very reliable, safe, good on gas consumption. If well maintained these two manufacturers can last up to 15+ years or 200k+ miles easily. Ohh! these are facts by the way there are data proving these claims (Consumer's Report). In the long run you can save thousands of dollars because you don't have to buy another car for the next decade.

Now, if I was still young and active the Honda Civic will be my choice to drive around the cities because this car is very popular amongst the 18+ age group. This is also a good second car or a daily driver, meaning you can drive to work and school everyday without worrying about breaking down on you. The car is very lightweight and small that it will save you money on gas.

As of today, Toyota Prius is the ultimate electric-gas powered (Hybrid) vehicle in today's automotive market. Environmentalist like this particular model because it's practically almost emission-less. The technological combination of electric and gas translates to less emission of carbon monoxide, which is the leading cause of global warming. In addition, this car can also save you gas money.

Can I put a 12v car battery in a kids electric jeep?

Steam

I was recently given two electric ride on toys for kids. Both a beat up pretty bad but the motors work, batteries don't. The factory batteries are expensive sooooo.... I was wondering if a car/atv/motorcycle/ battery would work? The originals were 12v. I do know there is a safety issue as far as liquid acid from gel acid but I have a container solution for that. I'm more curious about it exploding, lighting on fire or another unforeseen issue. Any thoughts before I try it? Don't answer if you are going to say " don't ever use anything but factory approved blah blah blah.." These are junk and the " you cant do that " crowd does not interest me unless it is backed up by scientific fact. Kids will not be driving these either. Any other junk yard tinkerers out there with some sage words of advice?
12v all the way, not Power Wheels plus the batteries are clearly labeled. Gotta say I love the actual experience with the John deer. Like it was brought up do u know if he had a problem with the battery lasting over multiple charges?

Answer
Yes it will work for sure. My father inlaw has a john deere toy tractor for his nieces that runs on a car battery. That thing runs for ever too instead of the 15-20 minutes the factory battery is good for. Just every once in a while you will have to hook it up to a car battery charger. They can be expensive, hope you have one. The kids will love you for it. Lol. Good luck.

What kind of car should I get?

ScorpioChi

So, my parents are getting me a car. With that being said, I do work and I will be paying the car payments including for gas and car mechanical failures. I am 16 and this is NOT my first car. Yes, my parents don't mind spending money, etc. on me obviously and I was just wondering from your opinion - what kind of car I should get or what do you think is better.

*NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT HOW YOU SAY RICH KID AND PARENTS WHO WILL DO ANYTHING FOR THEIR KID, ETC. THAT'S VERY RUDE!* (Yes, I said it in all caps haha!)

I was looking at these cars:
2012 Chevy Volt
2012 Hyundai Tucson
2012 Hyundai Sonata
2012 Cadillac SRX
2012 BMW X6M
2012 Porsche Cayenne
2012 Porsche Panamera
2011 BMW M3
2012 Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG
2012 Lexus IS F

MY OPINION:
I have close enough in money to afford a Porsche Panamera & Porsche Cayenne because I have been modeling and acting and I have been saving up with that money since I was 10 when I started. I still do modeling and acting but, little of it now since booking have been slow so I got myself a job at a local restaurant and at a lawyers office. I am home schooled so I have enough time to work, etc.

HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN:
For value and performance overall, especially for a car that I would like to keep for years from now, what car should I get?

I KNOW: You are going to say also, what is she doing driving a high performance, luxury or everyday car if she doesn't even know how to drive and she is just 16. In my state, the driving age is 14. I have never been involved in a car accident, never caused one and have never gotten any points taken off my license. I know how distracting it is to have friends in the car as my friend has died from that fatal accident but, I honestly don't drive with friends in the car. I only drive with family members in the car or on my own. No music. Just listening to that good old sound of car horns and the environment. (:

From your point of view, like I said, which is better? Please no negativity. Just answers. I know someone is going to put something negative on this post but, I did ask for an answer. I did not however ask for a mean one.

I hope you reply with what you think! Thanks! (:

*p.s. I know that I will have to go to driving school if I wanted to drive a high performance vehicle to know how to control the car, etc.* #JustSaying. (:
@mechanic_girl_C: Thanks for responding! (: I'll keep the Hyundai's in mind. ^_^
@iwastypingthat: Yes. No music seriously. (: Thanks for responding also! ^_^ I'll keep what you mentioned in mind about resale and safety with those cars.
@Raff: Thanks for responding! (: Ouch! That's off of my list for good. Haha yes, I do actually. ^_^
@apeweek: I've read through the information given on the volt and yes, it's reliable & very safe, etc. but I have come to the conclusion to just leave the volt off of my list. I did go down to test drive the Volt today and it's not really for me. It's safe, has the features but it also balls down to how much room is in the vehicle. It's great for someone who wants something small but I like to have a more space. (:
@GM Customer Svc: Thanks for the information on the SRX. (:

Answer
You should get a Chevy Volt. I'm sure this will make many readers scream, but hear me out. There is independent support for this position.
*
Consumers Reports has the Volt as one of their "recommended" cars. In fact the Volt is the ONLY recommended American car in the small car category. See link:
*
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/types/new-models-by-category.htm
*
The Volt in fact came in first place - beating every other car Consumer Reports tracks - in their Buyer Satisfaction survey. See link:
*
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-57334967-48/chevy-volt-scores-highest-satisfaction-rating-in-consumer-reports-survey/7
*
It also aced their first year reliability rankings. Note that Consumer Reports did not initially like the Volt - they trashed it in an article after the car first came out. But after testing it for a few months, they radically changed their opinion. This is the key - test drive one and see for yourself.
*
Volt got top 5-star scores in safety testing from both NHTSA and the Insurance Institute - see link (yes, recent "Volt fire" stories are sheer nonsense):

And
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2011/04/chevy-voly-nissan-leaf-crash-test-iihs-top-safety-pick/1
*
The Volt's little secret is that this is a wickedly fun-to-drive car, great acceleration, full of technological gadgets, and it attracts a lot of attention. Driving past gas stations is fun, too.
*
Plus - it's not even as expensive as most people assume. Depending on your driving pattern - and taking into account that electricity is much cheaper than gasoline - the total cost of ownership could even be cheaper than a comparable car. Below is a spreadsheet where you can input your own driving needs and see what kind of car is cheapest to drive:
*
http://www.squidoo.com/a-free-calculator-for-economy-hybrid-and-electric-cars
*
Yes, I own one. It's the best car I have ever owned. If you go with a Volt, be prepared for arguments with everybody. Do your research so you can answer your critics. This is a great car, the car of the future.

I am really thinking about buying a Mercedes -Benz M Class Suv, and wanna know what you think? Read below?

brood20

I am currently 19 years old, and have always liked Mercedes Benz products since I was a little kid. Well currently i am working and am saving up my money with each paycheck that I get so that I can purchase my very own car which will be titled in my name (tax, title, license, etc....), as well as insured in my name. Now, I plan on paying cash for my vehicle, and I would really like to purchase a Mercedes Benz M Class Suv probably the ML 320, as I really like them. I wanna purchase maybe a 2000, 2001, or a 2002 model. Would this be a good vehicle for me? I know the parts will be expensive. Are the ML suvs any good? Just give me your god honest advice, thanks, and I really appreaciate it!

Answer
One review of the M class says "expensive, shoddily built and chronically unreliable. One of the worst vehicles of it's type ever built. Avoid Like The Plague". "Problems with engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, transmissions, ignition systems, electrical systems, air conditioning, suspension, brakes, power equipment such as sunroof, electric windows & locks, paint problems, poor panel fit and body hardware problems". "Mercedes - - has done terrible damage to its reputation by selling relatively expensive cars which are simply not up to scratch." "a poor secondhand buy."

In short, they might look nice but they are lemons. Among SUVs, almost anything else with the exception of the Freelander would be a better buy.

How old should you be to....?

Niall Hora

1. Dye your hair/ just highlights
2. Wear makeup
3. Own a phone
4. Have a FaceBook
5. Wear shorts above knee
6. Got to the mall alone with friends
7. Have a laptop
8. Have an IPod/IPad

Answer
Oh, I am gonna so get sooo many thumbs down.
1. My daughter was 9 and had electric blue highlights in her hair. She plays line on a boys football team, it was a trend- school color being blue.
2. I would have no issue with my daughter wearing makeup now, she is 10. She is a tomboy and does not care about makeup. I do not forbide it, which is why she does not request it.
3. My kids have had phones for years, I believe my daughter was sevenish. They are prepaids, they do care about them either. They very rarely if ever ask for a minute card. They are very useful for us because my kids play sports and do extra curricular activities. They will often need a ride a various times. No payphones in our town. Phones are useful. Plus I can gps their locations.
4. My kids have fb also. They are 13,11, and 10 years old. They have them because my son this past summer travel to Europe. Fb was a free easy way to communicate. They never used it, lol. And still do not.
5. Wear shorts above the knee. Any age within moderation. Fingertip test in my house. Again, not an issue with a tomboy. Tomboys do NOT wear short -- shorts. You would never wear anything but basektball shorts to play basketball in. Ah, the logic of a 10 year old.
6. As for going to the mall alone with friends. Not happening. Our nearest mall is 45 minutes away. Unless the kids can drive they are out of luck. Even if they could drive, still is not happening. In our state you cannot drive with passengers until you reach a certain age. No friends in cars.
7. Laptop, my kids all have laptops. We worked with computers and internet for several years. That is a given. Again, yeah my kids never turn them on.
8. Ipod- i woukd say 10 or 11 depending on the kids responsibility. They are expensive. My 11 year old had one since he was 10. As for an ipad, yup that ain't happening. Way too expensive, I do not even care if we can afford it. They want it, they can buy it.
So, I am not much of an "at a certain age", type of parent. Certain thi gs go with responsibility. One of my kids may be ready for something and the other may not.

does this car on craigslist sound like a scam?

marshall27

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/1965270326.html

here the message they sent to me--
"The car it's still available, has 82,947 miles, manual transmission.

Hybrid Electric Vehicles?

David Clar

What type of battery is used in a hybrid vehicle and what is the voltage also how does it operate finally how can I tell if I am running on electric motoror gas engine?

Answer
I have a hybrid vehicle and I do not worry about what is the voltage. Hybrids come in different versions and usages so it is not essential to know about the electrical power that moves the electrical motors. Suffice to know that they work. OK? Now, this subject of hybrids can be technical and complicate but there are enough websites that explain the technology. Just Google it. I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. It came in two versions. Ours has the nice display that you can select that informs the status of the system. The cheaper version did not come with this and had a bit of information on the instrument panel. You know you are on electric because the motor shuts off as if the key had been removed. Total silence. The 2011 Fusion hybrid is closer to the Toyota Prius in that the car can run on electric up to 40 mph but with limited range. The whole concept originated with the stop/start feature to save gas when in traffic. With newer battery technology and software that manages the energy much better the 2012 models can do much better. The plug-in hybrids are even better as they run faster and longer on electrical power. But you do need a way to plug them at home and even at work. But if there is not , no worries, as the motor runs when the battery is down to 30% power. But do Google the subject and get informed. With proper driving techniques you can get better mpg performance that driving the car like a regular one. It is worth getting involved. Best of luck.

Is there a tax credit on 2013 Hybrid cars?

I purchased a 2013 Ford C-Max hybrid in Oct 2012 and am looking to see if their is any credit or refund available on my 2012 taxes. Thanks for your answers., My hybrid is not a plug-in. Does that make a difference?

Answer
There is no tax credit for hybrid cars. A tax credit still exists is one purchases and electric operated vehicle. Hybrids do not qualify for that class definition.

Can my daughter ride a scooter ?

Pizza

My daughter is 11 years old and rides an electric scooter. Her mom thinks its the most dangerous thing in the world.I would like to get other peoples opinions and answers to see if see can ride it.She is tall enough and is perfect weight. She also always wears a helmet.

Answer
In my neighborhood, all my kids ride an old Honda Sprint. I only allow it because the traffic is fairly minimal. I trust them to look both ways at stop signs, be careful of cars backing out of driveways, watch for other kids playing ball, etc. At 4:30 they park it until 6:30 to avoid people returning from work. They can ride after dinner until dark.

Why is your wife so concerned? Is it traffic? Bad neighbors drag racing? Is your daughter not responsible?

Personally, I don't see much of a difference between riding a scooter and a pedal bike.

my kids electric ride on car wont work but works fine with remote?

Answer
Make and model of the car would help. Check the connections between the controls and the receiver.

Electric vehicles but for older kids?

Lauren

Does anyone know something like these type of kids electric cars but for a teen?

Answer
I believe the teen-sized version of those things are called "cars." While there are some electric ones, most run on gas.

Seriously, though, how many teens have you seen rolling around town on an electric vehicle that's bigger than a "Power Wheels" but short of an actual car? There are, of course, golf carts, ATVs, and motorbikes, but they're specialized and/or pricey. For transportation, a teenager will take to a bicycle, or start on their path to driving a real car.

New hobby building electric rc cars?

Howard Bri

Hey everyone I was looking to start a hobby, since i have none aside from fixing cars. I would like to get into building and modding electric rc cars.... unfortunately i cannot find anything on the web, after searching google for an hour, related to specifically what i am looking for. what i would like to know is where to start. what parts to get Ex- chassis (car), suspension, motor, wiring, wheels, and so on. i have no experience with rc cars and so try to dumb things down for me.
tell you what, ill make my chassis and the base, just tell me the parts i need and ill go from there.

Answer
Not knowing just how far you want to get into the meat and potatoes makes it hard to answer your question.

Do you have a CAD program and a CNC? Own or have access to an injection molder? How good are your engineering skills?

Or, are you just looking to build a kit? This is where most everyone starts out. And is by far the best way to start. Another issue is just exactly what type of kit would interest you most: On road, off road, rock crawler, drifter etc. Budget is another factor that you haven't mentioned.

Take a gander at some of the kits offered at online hobby shops like http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.php/cPath/1_44/n/RC-Cars-Trucks-Kits

Stay away from ones with the RTR label as they are already built. Unfortunately, kits are no where near as popular as they used to be. 99% of everyone looking to get into the radio control hobby wants to just put the battery in and run. This means that basically no one makes a kit with everything you need, and there just aren't that many. I can't think of a single one that comes with electronics - so you have to purchase those separately. All kits will list the items you need to complete the build however. Another thing that comes to mind is that the vast majority of kits from the mainstream manufacturers are high end racing machines. They are very expensive. A typical racing kit, with everything (good quality) you need often runs well over $1500.

The brand that offers the most kits is Tamiya. Usually at this point I also recommend staying away from Chinese brands as they often don't have replaceable parts available - but I doubt you can find one of those in kit form anyway.

Finally, I think your best bet is to head over to your local hobby shop and pick their brains. You may find that the racing aspect of radio control holds as much interest for you as building (it does for me!). And many hobby shops support local racing clubs. Or at least can direct you to them. I know its $152, but there's mot an rc car for less than $100 that are worth it. This is you best option, unless you want an on-road, then there's this, its more in your price range:

POLL: What should I ask to get for christmas?

Mr. as

My father said I need to tell him now.
I already have a decent laptop and an iPhone..
Should I just ask for money and save it?
Well it's more than decent, I just don't want to come off as spoiled.

If you're into the stars and stuff you could ask for one of those kewl telescopes. When I was a kid they were like as long as a Chevy Impala but now they are short and compact like a Audi S4. For about the same price you could get a metal detector. Got a Tux? You'll need one for the Senior Prom when you take your fave boi friend, plus if you get one of those James Bond styles they are really cool and will get you into the poshest clubs.

You could ask him for stock in GM. IT was at $40 earlier this year and now it's like $2/share. IT will be going up. The govt may let Ford or Chrysler fail but they will never let GM fold. And if GM comes out with electric cars the stock will skyrocket. Ask for 500 or 1000 shares and what is $2,000 now will be $40,000 when it goes back to $40 / share and if the electric cars take off (they will) the stock will go to $80. And then it will split and go up more. Hang on to it til you're 30 and you'll be able to cash it in for $250,000.
Or, you can get a house in Indy for $10,000. I was at a realty fair yesterday and they had nice homes for $10,000 with $2,500 down. You can always rent it out and the value will go up. It has to go up from $10K. NO houses are $10K anymore, not even in THIS depression. You can rent it out for $400 / month now but that will go up each year as the market recovers and soon you'll get $1,000/month for it and then be able to sell it in 15 years for $150,000 or more.
The other option is GOLD ... Krugerrands would be nice. Right now they are cheap, about $700/ounce. That's like 1/2 of what it should be and as this depression gets worse the value of gold will go up and up and up. Ask for 3 Kruggerands or more if you can get it. But don't show them off or they will walk away.

D O N OT ASK FOR MONEY! Bush has destroyed the dollar and the rumors are all over that the new Amero is right around the corner and who knows how much it will transfer for. Could be pennies on the dollar. Rather than money, take gold, silver, or Chinese Yen. If you can pay $100/month for a house and rent it out for $400 / month you can have your Dad put up the downpayment for you. Keep it in his name in case you get drunk and crash and end up losing everything in court. And then when you hit 25-30 have him turn it over to you.

If you get the telescope you can watch when Nibiru comes crashing through.

Peace, Love, and Light!
