Whats a good quality starter electric rc car?

Im looking for a proffesional electric rc car, that ill be able to get from a hobby shop (not having to order from some obscure website).

I have some requirements
- no more than 200 dollars (the cheaper the better of course)
- fast and all-terrain
- upgradable
- common enough brand (so i can get replacement parts)
- around the size of a shoe box (this isnt neccesary just prefered)
- car shaped (not a monster truck please)
- suspension, grippy tires (basic all-terrain stuff)
- rechargable batteries

Check the yellow pages and find the local hobby shops. Go there and learn more... building your own can save money and you'll learn stuff. Or go on e-Bay to compare. Check your local pennysaver to see if someone has one for sale. Have fun.

can you convert a electric rc car to a gas rc car?

i like mechanical and electrical stuff and i thought it would be pretty cool so is this possible to do? and if so what would be the price range?

its not wort the time and money, now if you where trying to convert nitro to electric then that can be do in most cases. alot of the rc cars have conversions for nitro to electric but not the other way around.
