When the 2012 thing is over what next?

wizardliza

all the stuff pop culture craps out whats next?

Answer
An asteroid named Apophis, (named after the Egyptian god of dark and chaos) has a 1/250,000 chance of hitting earth on April 13th, on 2036. (notice the 13)

And the possibility of 2012 happening has the same chance of no one criticizing Justin Bieber and Chuck Norris NOT coming back to life.

Oh, and there are going to be lots of cool new technology, like improved electric cars, flying cars (I'm not kidding), cheaper robotics, much better computers (search on google: Moore's Law), and maybe DNA based computers, better school lunch (believe it or not), and so on. But these are the good things that will probably happen, here are some bad things that will happen:

1. POPULATION EXPLOSION! (worse than it seems, this is the most horrifying)
2. More Justin Biebers wannabes
3. More terrorists
4. More crappy TV shows
5. Global Warming
6. Increase in children being exposed to pornography
7. Etc.

Certified hybrid v/s new gas car?

Certified hybrid v/s regular gas car?
I am looking for a used/ certified hybrid car and found a 2008 Honda civic hybrid , 23,500 miles for $17500. In your opinion, is it a good deal or should I wait ? I just saw a 2012 Honda civic (non-hybrid) for $18000 now I am confused which one to go for. Help me pls.
p.s. I will be driving mostly in city (dropping kids off to school, doing groceries, running errands)

Answer
it depends on you. do you want a used car first off? Most would go with the used cause first off new car values drop as soon as the hit the road. The hybrid has already done that. Plus if you are doing in town driving hybrids are more fuel efficient due to the electric battery charging with stop and go driving since they are able to run of that at the lower speeds. hybrid 42-44 mpg vs reg 36-39 mpg

Also 17500 is a steal for that car, make sure you are going through a reputable dealer and ask for a carfax because KBB (pricing guide FYI) says it should be $20140. just make sure you take someone with you who know a bit about cars (when buying cars you should always do this). One thing to look out for though on some the 2008 civic models is that they were recalled for alignment issues. nothing major it just made the tires not last as long
