The worlds oil will have ran out by the time the variety of this generation hits adult hood, many fossil fuels will be wiped out or on the verge of extinction. Already top scientists and experts have predicted wars over new technology to travel within 7 - 12 years. The transfer of cars to electric cars, which the British/American government want to do, will be horrific, anger and riots will begin, predicted by the top universities in California, London and Michigan. House prices in the UK are soaring aswell as mortgage prices and many food prices are expanding. The government are not well structured and help pollute the planet and cause international wars.

Do the kids of the present, have a life in the future worth living?
Please give your honest views.

Answer
to be honest and true no things are getting worse and not better . sorry)

What are some bands where everyone knows their songs but the band's name is not a household word(s)?

Eddie Cacc

Perhaps due to marketing, the band never became one that your mom and dad know (they never played a Super Bowl or appeared on "American Idol"), but most people know a few of their songs.

I recently got an older concert best-of tape of Joe Jackson. I think he'd definitely fit the bill.
I used to think some of his songs were actually Elvis Costello.

Answer
Most people will know 'Imaginary Lover', 'Champange Jam', 'Georgia Rhythm', 'I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight', 'Spooky', 'So Into You' and 'Do It Or Die'. But do they know the Atlanta Rhythm Section? lol I think not...lol

Most people know 'Working For The Weekend', 'The Kid Is Hot Tonite', 'Turn Me Loose', 'Queen Of The Broken Hearts', 'When It's Over' and 'Lovin' Every Minute Of It'. But do they actually 'remember' Loverboy? ...i think not...lol

And what about these 'forgotten' band names:

Foreigner (who? lol) You know 'Hot Blooded', 'I Wanna Know What Love Is' and a slew of other radio hits.

Sweet (who? lol) You know! 'Ballroom Blitz' and 'Love Is Like Oxygen'.

The Cars (who? lol) You know! One of the most UNDERRATED bands EVER! lol 'You Might Think', 'My Best Friends Girlfriend', 'Shake It Up' 'Panomama' 'Let's Go' 'It's All I Can Do' 'Drive' 'Just What I Needed' 'Magic' and a whole slew more! :)

and my all-time favorite band had single after single that had peeps singing their songs for years and still singing them. But 'who is' this Electric Light Orchestra that does all these hits:
Don't Bring Me Down
Roll Over Beethoven
Can't Get It Out Of My Head
Evil Woman
Strange Magic
Turn To Stone
Sweet Talkin' WOman
Mr. Blue Sky
Mr. Blue Sky
Mr. Blue Sky
lol
Mr. Blue Sky
Shine A Little Love
I'm Alive
Last Train To London
Rock And Roll Is King
Rockaria!
Hold On Tight
Getting To THe Point
Loser Gone Wild
Alright
Moment In Paradise
Ordinary Dream

I bet you've heard at 'least' 5 of them but never knew the name of the band ;P peace

Note: Isn't Joe Jackson a great musician???? He had so many different periods of music. I got into him during his 'new wave' period ('I'm The Man' 'Is She Really Going Out With Him') but then he started his 'piano man' period and won grammies for 'Steppin' Out' which I thought was a let-down at the time but now I believe it to be a masterpiece to my ears! I miss Joe! :)
