First let me say, in any of these anyone else or myself were at all hurt. Every accident ended up totaling the car as well. Each accident was caused by me having a seizure and no I am not driving now so no comments are needed about me staying off the road.
. The first accident was me crashing into the back of a school bus. No kids were in the bus at the time. I slammed into the back of the bus, crushing the whole hood and engine of my car. I lifted up the back end of the bus and my car was covered to the windshield.
The second was caused by, flying up over a curb and running into a brick wall. The front end of the car and the engine were crushed together against the wall.
The third was running into a 20 foot wooden electric pole, knocking the pole to the ground and rolling over. I woke up hanging upside down in my car by my seat belt. I tried getting out on my own but had trouble because I was disoriented and unable to find the lock for the seat belt. The passenger side had the roof crushed down to the seat and arm rest about 6 inches away from my body. Then of course the front end was pushed in as well.
The fourth I was driving on the express way and blacked out. When I blacked out I went to the left and dragged the driver side again the cement wall. I woke up shortly after, still driving with half the car dragging on the ground. I drove off the express way and got into a walmart parking lot a ways down the road so I could figure out what to do. In that crash the whole driver side was smashed in, the window was shattered and half of the car was dragging across the ground.
The fifth one was driving down the express way again going about 70 and blacking out. I crashed into the back of a car causing the car behind me to crash in my back end and spinning me across four lanes. When I was spinning across those lanes I hit a hummer and ended up crashing head on into a tree down on the side of the road. I woke up from that already standing outside my car trying to figure out what to do.
As I said in any of these accidents I never got a scratch on me or anyone else. I am wondering what you think the chances are of me and everyone else surviving those. Also, after hearing this does it make you think of guardian angels? Or even God preventing everything bad from happening for some reason?
I forgot to say what kind of car each accident was done in. The first was a 2001 crown victoria, the second a 2000 nissan altima, the third a 2005 Mitsubishi lancer, the fourth a 2006 bmw z3 convertible and the final vehicle a 2008 chrysler sebring convertible. By the way in the final crash the air bags did not go off.

Do you think the government should force manufacture of fuel effciant cars?

Nate H

They have electric roadsters that do 0-60 in 3 seconds and have a 100 mile plus range lineing up for production. Just add a small desile generator and some solar panels and it will get 100 to infinity miles per gallon. Why don't they mandate hybred and solor car manufacturing! Think they should make a limit on how much fuel a vehical can consume? Like 1 gallon per hour private and 3 commercial?

Answer
You can't mandate something like that.

The consumer dictates what will be built. The companies respond to that.

When gas got to $3.00 a gallon, SUV and pickup sales went down to its lowest levels since 1995. People were looking into more efficient cars. Toyota and Honda had already thought ahead and been producting them. The government encourages it by giving tax breaks and allowing them into HOV lanes. The US car makers were still churning out SUV's and fell behind yet again. Now Toyota is poised to become the number one car maker because they're able to think ahead, innovate, and respond quicker to the market.

Now that gas is back to $2.06 a gallon, people are going *whew* and are driving SUV's again. But there is a percentage that are thinking ahead and are selling their SUV's and buying the Toyota's and Honda's.

You can blame the SUV and Minivan market in part on the increased safety levels required by the government. Since they require car seats for each kid, a family with three kids needs a larger vehicle so Minivan's were born. Guys were harassed about driving a "minivan" so the car manufacturers created SUV's to satisfy a guy's ego.

Then you have the Hummer type ads. You've seen them. Where they harass the moms now, calling them wimps and pressuring them to buy Hummers. What a bunch of crap.
