I was just wondering if I could upgarde my electric rc car by replacing the motor with a nitro motor so I could go faster through grass and mud.

Answer
I wouldn't think the two are compatible! Nitro also requires a fuel reservoir and is likely to get hotter. The two are not interchangable or you would be able to buy them as such.

Take a look at the specifications of the two types of models (and the petrol ones for that matter) at http://www.nitropro.co.uk

How to build an electric rc car from scratch or a good rc kit that is fast and waterproof?

It needs to be under 250$ and needs to be from scratch. I need instructions and parts needed to create the electric rc and I also need it to be waterproof. If to buy all the materials is to expensive then what is a really good rc kit that is waterproof.

Answer
Seeing that there are no indication of scale size, for that price here are the options:
"1/16 Ford Mustang Boss 302 by Traxxas Ford's Iconic Muscle Car, With Titan 550 Power!" This has waterproof electronics. Suggested retail $200.00
"MODEL 7308: Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta (Brushed), Fully assembled, Ready-To-Race®,
with TQ⢠AM radio system, Titan® 12T 550 motor, XL-2.5 electronic speed control,
7.2 volt NiMH battery & charger, and Race Replica painted body." 1/16 scale, suggested retail $225.00

1/10 scale HPI & Kyosho also have kits, not sure if they have waterproof electronics. Enjoy.
