Most manufacturers will have several different suppliers. They may also consider a database of suppliers proprietary information and you are unlikely to find a complete list. The specifications for a particular vehicle may list the motor if it is not made in house however it may be modified to the manufacturer's specifications and not the stock item sold to the general public.

Honestly I'm not sure. I can tell you that with real cars, a brand new vehicle just off the lot has what is referred to a break - in period. This means that for the first 50 miles or so you shouldn't over drive the vehicle. This allows the engine to losen up mechanically before it is ready for more stress.
