my husband came home from work afew days ago and i had this strong urge to go out to his truck. so i went there and was looking around and i found a pair of womens underware! i panicked, came in the house, started screaming and told him he had to leave right away.

he said he would leave.

he was mostly the bread winner and made approx. $3200 a month. i work my butt off as a CNA and only make $1950 a month after taxes. we have 5 kids ranging from ages 2-13, a pregnant dog expecting 10 puppies in june, and 2 other dogs. and we have a cat and a pet rat.

keep in mind, my cousin babysits the 2 younger kids for only $50 a week while i work and my house is paid off so i only have these bills-

house taxes- 100 a month
house insurance- 50 a month
cable, internet, phone package- 115 a month
electric- 65 a month
car insurance- 85 a month
heat- (summer months) 50 a month
and water and sewer $50 a month
and daycare 200 a month
and my fancy table im paying 45 a month on

i usually take the kids bowling or roller skating too for $30-40 a week so $120 a month
and i spend about $110 on the animals a month

and i pack home lunches for school.

will we be able to survive without my husband, and how soon can i get child support and what do i have to do?

You have done really well to have put your family budget together so quickly. This is definitely the first thought to consider when parting ways with an ex. You work way too hard to put up with any crap from Mr. Wiggley.

On the other hand, your ex is still the kids father and should be treated as such. Get to a lawyer right away and get an emergency hearing for child support. Your husband will fight back, so it is important to prepare carefully and cooly.

im 16 and a girl and when im 17, my parents are buying me a car. i have 3 younger siblings, but the one closest to my age is 13 so when im a sophomore in college, he will have his license too. i asked my parents if i would be bringing my car to college with me and they said no because then it will be yours AND your brothers' car. so then i wont have a car at college and when i come home on breaks and stuff we will have to share the car. is this what most families do? or does each kid get a car (if they get a car)?
do you need a car in college? what if im going far?

That would be what a lot of middle or low class families would do where they don't have enough money as is. Getting a car, insurance, plus gas money can raise up the bill.So, they just have their children share cars, so the parents can afford to pay other things such as phone bills, gas and electric bills, etc.You don't need a car for college, but it is helpful.You could always take the bus or you could make some friends and catch a ride with them.

To raise a child? From pregnancy to like 18 years old? What's a rough estimate for how much that costs? This is for a health class by the way. I'm only 15...nowhere near having kids.

Thousands and thousands of dollars! Here are just some examples, this is not everything by any means! And I am just estimating in cost by the way!

Food: $60/week (or more depending on age) * 52 weeks a year= $3,120 * 18 years= $56,160
Clothing: $200-2000/year (depending on age and size) * 18 years= $3,600-36,000
Shoes: $50/year (sometimes more) * 18 years= $900
Toiletries (toilet paper, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, etc) $50/month (depending on age and need, etc) * 12 per year= $600 * 18 years= $10,800
School supplies (not counting school fees because they differ per state and grade): $100/ year of school * 13 grade ( not counting re-takes, or preschool)= $1,300
Shelter expense (differes per family, but mine for instance): (rent is $560/month divided by 3 family members= $187) $187/month * 12 per year= $2,244 * 18 years= $40,392

Yeah I don't get the point of this either. We are supposed to interview 3 parents to find this out but I thought it would be easier to go on here, considering all my friend's parents don't think the best of me.

For prenatal care, and all other costs for the mother and child....it depends on insurance. My insurance covered 100% of everything. Prenatal costs, delivery, my stay and my daughter's stay in the hospital, her well-baby check ups, her specialist visits and her vaccinations...It was all covered with no co-pay. I've seen a lot of women on here say they had to pay 20% of all their prenatal care and delivery though.

There is NO way of calculating raising a child from birth to 18. It all depends on your lifestyle, where you live, how many kids you have, if you get child support, if you make them buy their own car and pay their own college tuition...it depends on a million different things.



Babies sleep how often?
Depends. My daughter slept though the night from day one. Most babies wake up for a while though at night. When she was younger she took three naps a day. She's two now and only takes one nap.

feed how often?
Depends on the baby. Some babies feed every hour, some every three hours. It depends on the baby's schedule.

change diapers/ bathe how often?
I change diapers every 2-3 hours. When she was a baby I'd wash her every other day. She's two now and she gets a bath every day.

necessary medical care?
Babies get check ups every few months until they hit two, then it's usually once a year.

costs of baby food?/ costs of breast feeding?
I think we spent like...$20-25 a week total on formula and baby food.

what do new born babies do?
Eat, sleep, poop.

supplies needed for a new born baby in first week of being home?
Clothes, diapers, a crib/bassinet, blankets...

Im a 13 year old boy and can't find a hobbies I enjoy please help.?

As you know I'm 13 and I need a hobby. I like the outdoors but we live in a subdivision. I thought of doing woodcarving but its a little high in price. Can any of you please help me find something I like and is not too exspensive.
I don't want to do any school clubs or sports though.

When I was 13, I tried a variety of things. You could try sketching/drawing still life, painting miniatures, check in the trash or your local goodwill store for anything electric/electronic, and see if you can get them working again, or just to see how things work. Building model cars, or you could even check in your local hobby store and ask around as to what other kids of your age enjoy. I myself got into radio control off road racing, but that can get into the thousands of dollars, depending on the type of equipment you buy into. I tried woodcarving too, didn't think it was too expensive, but it wasn't my thing. I never got good at it. I used to carve duck figurines from scrap wood. need a dremel tool, and a couple carving blades, I believe Xacto makes a set. Hope some of these suggestions help. Good Luck to you.

can you take toys and such on a Airplane?

Okay just wondering what you can take on a airplane? My son and i will be flying for the first time, and i have no clue what i can take on board for him to play with? also he is four can i bring his booster seat on as a carry on, for the rental car?

You're welcome to bring any kind of toy as long as it doesn't look like or could be used as a weapon. Some gel-filled toys are allowed but I think your child is too old for teething rings!

The booster can be brought on but is not allowed to be used on board. Since airline seats don't have shoulder belts, the booster is basically useless for safety and airline seats collapse for emergencies so the only approved seats have hard backs. You can though, bring it and stow it onboard if you don't want to risk it being lost and/or broken in the luggage hold by checking it.

Bring toys on board which
1. Don't make ANY noise. Even a quiet song can drive fellow passengers batty
2. Can be lost without too much grief (replaceable, not expensive, etc.)
3. Can be packed easily (not too heavy, wont break, etc.)

A new toy is a good idea. My son was kept occupied for ages with just a bag of small cars or plastic animals.

Make sure anything electric is fully charged or you have extra batteries with you (yes, they're allowed). Again, no noise. If you take a portable DVD player (and I think he's a bit too young but do what works for you) or electronic game, make sure he is willing to wear the headphones or use it without sound.

At this age, I did better with stickers, coloring items and while my play dough experience was a bit messy, some parents swear by it. Pipe cleaners and pinwheels have also been cited as good toys for flying.

Have him prepare and pack his own backpack and you bring some of the new toys to surprise him.

No one will mind if you read a book to him.

Talk to him about security. This can be a bit intimidating for a child, even more so than the flight itself, which kids usually think is fun.

Explain to him ahead of time about putting his things on the belt, including possibly his shoes.

Here are some other random tips;

-Bring a change of clothes for him.
-Bring an empty sippy cup to fill during the services. This will prevent spills in the air.
-Get up and move around with him but keep an eye out. Those carts the F/A's use are the perfect height for hiding kids
-Bring snacks. Don't fret security. I've never had anything taken away (yes, water but not snacks) and that's the only risk. If you have something not allowed, they simply remove the item. No scenes, no speeches, no arrests!
-Try to sit in a bulkhead seat so that there's no one in front of you
-Bring slippers, especially if you're not in the bulkhead!

Check out a book at the library on flying and read it together. Buy one if you want but I've found plenty in our library and it's a one-time deal. If you live near an airport, even if it's not the one you'll use, perhaps visit it if possible.

At this age, children find flying fun. In my 13 years flying, I never saw an overly anxious child at this age.
