It provides air to breathe water to drink ,soil to grow food and the forests maintain a climate comfortable to live in

And it is Home for all of us

No well then you should also not have trash outside which is the living space of everything and everybody

In Mexico poor people are forced to drink contaminated water ,knowing that they will get sick and maybe even die in the end .

Because they dont want to die of thirst imediatly and there is no other water ,because society has contaminated it all,and they are to poor to buy bottled water.

This happens also in Africa,China, and India that i know off

In my Town in Mexico the local Hospital has reported 9 types of parasites with the children and a whole range of skin stomach and eye complaints related to the dirty river

Ohhhh, so dems love them Obama stimulus bucks?

Gungy

$5 trillion added to the debt....why are Obama supporters ignoring this?

===> "What do Finnish cars, Mexican solar panels, and Danish windmills have in common? They were all funded by your tax dollars."

"Taxpayer money, mostly in the form of stimulus funds, ended up in the hands of companies overseas. Instead of creating jobs in America, the stimulus and other Obama policies created jobs or sent money to Finland, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, China, Denmark, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, El Salvador, Great Britain, Spain, Japan, and France."

"How did this happen? Consider the example of Fisker Automotive. The company received $500 million in loan guarantees from the U.S. government to produce electric cars. Then they took their money and decided to produce their $100,000 electric sports cars in Finland."

===>>> How's that "hope & change" looking for them "shovel ready" thingies now?

AND SOME WONDER WHY......in his 14th qtr in office - Obama's approval ratings are worse than Carter's. http://www.gallup.com/poll/155918/Obama-Job-Approval-Slightly-14th-Quarter.aspx

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/07/10/Obama-stimulus-dollars-jobs-overseas

Answer
You forgot to mention the Democratic Welfare moochers who want anything/everything they can get with tax-payer dollars.

I oftentimes wonder how many wives and children I have because of my hard-earned tax dollars going to welfare-sucking moochers?

Q. what happens during global warming? what will happen if we dont stop it?

Answer
Global warming it the biggest negative issue humanity as a whole has to face today.

I asked myself the same questions about a month ago. Then I watched "An Inconvenient Truth" and "To Hot Not To Handle". If you don't like al gore, don't watch the first one, but there is a lot of great information in both of these that will answer a lot of your questions about Global warming. I believe that National Geographic has one out as well about the issue.

In EXTREMELY short: Global warming is the overall average tempurature of the Earth that is on the rise over the years. CO2 acts as a blanket that shields the heat from leaving our atmosphere. The Sun heats the Earth and the excess CO2 in the atmosphere causes the heat waves that bounce off of the Earth's surface to remain in the atmosphere.

1. This causes the melting of snow and ice that otherwise would remain frozen.

2. It also causes more intense huricanes and more desserts.

3. Many more deaths from heat waves have been reported in the last few years than any other time in history. More will follow.

4. If all of the snow melts, the west side of the US would not have fresh drinking water. 75% of their water comes from melting ice (To Hot Not to Handle).

5. If this bad use of our Earth continues, our great grand children will never see a glacier and will never feel snow.

6. They will have a lot more diseases than we have today because it will not get cold enough to kill them off. Maleria has already become a huge issue, when it use to be something noone cared or worried about.

7. India is not the only country that will suffer from flooding. If all of the ice melts, Florida's entire southern tip will be under water. see where the water level is on a map now and then add 20 feet of water to the map. There are a lot more places that will be lost or sunken cities.

8. A lot of the smaller islands that people like to vaccation too will be under water.

9. The Coral reefs will be dead because it will be to hot for the fish to live in.

10. Wales will die, because there will be no planktin to feed on. because the water will be to hot and there will be no sea plants to feed on.

11. Polar bears have already been found drowned, because there was not a mass of ice where their use to be for them to stay on. Polar bears will become extinct (among other plants and animals).

12. We will no longer have fresh water to drink.

CO2 is produced by many things. But the most notable change occured when the industrial age hit. This was when factories were being built and burning fossil fuels. Oil and gas in our cars, coal, etc.

A lot of electric companies offer "green" energy, but you have to request it. Green energy comes from wind, solar and hydro power, there are other sources, like using trash to make fuel, etc. I am using Reliant Energy and they charged 1 cent per kilowatt more when I requested to switch to green energy. I use about 300-400 killowatts per month for my 2 room apartment, so that was only $3.00 - 4.00 more per month. It is worth it. There are also hybrid cars that cut emissions way down. (they will be cheaper when they are used in a couple of years)

Here is a link to some things that you can do to help reduce CO2 emissions.
http://www.climatecrisis.net/takeaction/whatyoucando/

One more thing...
Article titled : UNâs Kyoto treaty against global warming comes into force

On: official UN site: http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=13359&Cr=global&Cr1=warm

..."So far 140 countries have ratified the accord."...âWhile the Government of the United States has decided against the Kyoto treaty, many individual states in America are adopting or planning to adopt greenhouse gas reductions in line with the spirit of the Protocol,â...âNever before has the negative impact of climate change been more evident than the recent devastating weather conditions resulting in widespread hurricanes, cyclones, tropical storms, tidal waves, tsunamis in various parts of the world, particularly affecting small island developing states. These small countries are the most vulnerable to global climate change,â

Bush has oil interests in the US and in other countries. That is what made his family wealthy. Of course he does not want people to switch to green energy, then we could not have a war in Iraq over oil and he would loose all of the money from his oil industries. Thank god for a free country! I am looking forward to the next president.

Hope this helps. check out the movies, they are easy to watch and full of information.

China and India are emerging giants.?

iamacarguy

Will the lack of clean water inhibit their growth?

China is going online with a new coal fired electric power plant every two weeks even though people are sick and dieing from polluted water and air in alarming numbers.

Two thirds of India's population does not have fresh water.

Will this hold them back from progress?

Answer
I find it utterly amazing the lack of information about China that is preached here as gospel.

How many of you know that this year China has adopted the most strict Euro car pollution standards?

Or that they are well aware of the massive pollution that they are producing and has made it a top priority to slow it down?

Of that environment and the problems are daily fare on the news? Or that the children are exposed to environmental concerns in school, that every child knows of the problems?

Or that there are vast area's of China that are not polluted?

That most of this has only started 5 years ago, and the lions share of that 3 years ago and that it is going to take a hell of a lot more then the west demanding instant fixes. That when the west decided that the environment was extremely important was 40 years ago and it took us this long just to get where we are and yet the USA is still the largest producer of green house emissions?

Or that the life expectancy of the Chinese are only a few years less then ours --- so where are the massive amount of people that are dying from pollution? If you say there are a few pockets where people are exposed to pollution on a much large scale, then you'd be correct.......the country as a whole, no way on earth is that happening to the degree the west believes. I know, I live here in a pretty pollution free environment in the middle of China.

This is nothing more then more China bashing with India being a close second.

Time to take off the blinders people and get our house in order before we tell others how to live in theirs.

Signed, an ex pat from the USA living in the center of China.

Peace

Jim
